Your first stop is the Florida Everglades, where you'll enjoy an exhilarating airboat ride through the lush wetlands with your guide. Your airboat ride is followed by a wild snake- and
alligator-handling show, during which expert reptile handlers will offer interesting information about these creatures. First, take a NASA bus for a drive-by view of the space shuttle launch pad and experience the historic Apollo 8 send-off. Then, head to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you’ll witness Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon. Here, walk under a massive Saturn V rocket and marvel at its 363-foot (110-meter) height.
Your ultimate experience also includes lunch with a veteran member of NASA's Astronaut Corps – talk with an astronaut and get an authentic autograph!
Additionally, you'll receive a guided Kennedy Space Center Up-Close tour of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), led by a trained space expert. The tour includes round-trip transportation from your hotel, a private 1-hour airboat tour, a real Florida barbeque lunch, an alligator-handling demonstration, a free alligator souvenir and a photo of you holding a live alligator!After pickup from your Orlando hotel, take a 1-hour bus ride to the Florida Everglades. There, board an airboat for an exciting 1-hour eco-tour led by a US Coast Guard approved captain. Travel deep into the Central Florida Everglades’ 4,200 acres (1,699 hectares) of protected swamps, marshes and rivers. Get an in-depth look at the gators, birds, eagles, lush trees and plants as you experience Florida’s natural beauty in a remote, picturesque atmosphere. After your airboat ride, head to the live alligator demonstration and enjoy an exclusive 20-minute educational and hands-on experience. You'll learn about the gator’s anatomy and behavior, as well as the types of dangers associated with these creatures. You'll also have a chance to hold or touch the gator and take a photo with it (photo included)! At noon, enjoy a real Florida barbeque lunch, including your choice of meat (chicken, pork or even gator!), a side dish, bread and a beverage. You'll then have time to explore the 13-acre (5 hectare) park on your own. See the wildlife exhibits and spot a zebra, white-tailed deer, Watusi cattle, alligators and tortoises. You can also visit the tropical bird aviary and admire several species of birds. Before leaving, make sure to walk along the 500-foot (124-meter) sightseeing dock for spectacular scenic views. You'll also receive a complimentary alligator souvenir to commemorate your experience. Depart the park at 12pm by coach and arrive back at your hotel around 12:45pm.
