Whether you are a wine novice or a connoisseur, Ô Chateau has offers tasting sessions for all French wine enthusiasts. Unlock the secrets of French wine with the three specially designed wine tasting sessions conducted by an English-speaking sommelier. The sessions take place in a 17th century cellar, located right by the Louvre, which was actually the former cellar of the Sommelier of the King. Choose from 3 different wine tasting sessions; an introductory session in which you will sample several types of wine with breads (French Wine Introductory). A wine and cheese tasting lunch, or a session sampling wines from across France (Tour de France of Wine). Ô Chateau is a wine lover’s haven. Built by Louis XIV, the famous Palace of Versailles was designed to awe with its opulence. The 75 metre long Hall of Mirrors is particularly impressive with 17 huge mirrors and stucco work showing the monarch in various guises. The beautiful gardens are almost as impressive as the palace itself. Designed in the formal style, they have marble and bronze statues, fountains and geometrically aligned terraces. If you take this Versailles tour on a Saturday or Sunday between April and October you will be able to see the famous Versailles Fountain Show. Accompanied by the music of one of the composers from the court of Louis XIV, this is particularly delightful. Your time at the Palace of Versailles is entirely at leisure.
