Take to the seas around Sydney on a 6-hour tall ship sailing adventure on board the beautifully restored ‘James Craig.’ Sailing only twice a month, the authentic square-rigged ship takes an unforgettable route around Sydney Harbour, passing under the Harbour Bridge, before venturing into the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are all included on board, and you’ll hear about the ship’s fascinating history from the crew as you sail. Hop aboard James Craig in Pyrmont and after meeting your host, set sail on your 6-hour tall ship adventure. The beautifully restored square-rigger was originally built in the late 19th century to carry cargo around the world on major trade routes.
Hear tales and trivia about this much-loved ship from the crew as you sail, passing top sites around Sydney Harbour, such as Harbour Bridge, Fort Denison, Garden Island and Shark Island. Stroll around the deck admiring the sights from your unique vantage point and enjoy morning and afternoon tea as you cruise the harbour. You’ll also have lunch on board – a picnic box filled with treats. There is a bar on board where you can purchase alcoholic and soft drinks at your own expense.
Cruise past Australia’s oldest fishing village -- Watsons Bay -- and then venture out of Sydney Heads for open-ocean sailing aboard Sydney’s finest tall ship. Watch the ship's crew set the sails and if you want to actively participate, you may get involved and join the crew or, if you are feeling adventurous, upgrade with a mast climb! If you'd rather relax, just sit back and soak up the Pacific Ocean's beautiful seascape before returning to Pyrmont where your tour ends. (hide)

Enjoy a trip through the scenic Blue Mountains and admire the otherworldly beauty of the Jenolan Caves on a day tour from Sydney. Pass through the mountain township of Katoomba and take in panoramic views of the Three Sisters pinnacles at Echo Point. See the stalactites and dramatically lit chambers of the Jenolan Caves, and photograph the stunning waters of the Blue Lake. Add the optional Plughole Tour to delve deeper into the subterranean world of the Jenolan Caves. Abseil into Elder Cave, squeeze through chambers and crawl through cavities on an adventure experience you’ll never forget! After being picked up from your selected Sydney hotels, sit back and relax as you enjoy a scenic coach trip from central Sydney to the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park.
As you wind your way through the national park, your tour takes you through the Blue Mountains' biggest town, Katoomba, with its century-old guesthouses and charming shops and cafes.
Continue on to Echo Point, one of the region's best vantage points. Take in stunning views of the dramatic canyons and rocky cliffs, over the Megalong Valley to the photogenic pinnacles of the Three Sisters.
Your tour also takes you along the ridge-top Cliff Drive, with more stunning views over the Blue Mountains and valleys as you travel to the amazing Jenolan Caves. Here, take a guided tour through the oldest open cave system in the world, stretching underground for more than 25 miles (40 kilometers). Admire the dramatic lighting in this subterranean world of underground rivers and floodlit limestone stalactite sculptures, and visit Jenolan's largest cave, Lucas Cave, where concerts are held in the acoustically perfect Cathedral chamber. At certain times of the year, the tour might take you to the equally impressive Imperial Cave instead of Lucas Cave.
Choose the option to include the Plughole Adventure Tour, and add an exciting two-hour abseiling and caving experience. After dressing in overalls, harness, a helmet and headlamp, receive a safety briefing before your thrilling 30-foot (9-meter) abseil into Elder Cave.
Whether you're an abseiling novice or expert, Elder Cave will astound you with its chambers and sinkholes. Squeeze through increasingly longer chambers, including the Window and Crystal chambers. Relax in the open space of the Chapel, try the Armchair Squeeze and Letterbox Squeeze, then follow the S-bend through the Imperial Cave and into the daylight.
Leaving the Jenolan Caves on your return drive to Sydney, stop to admire the beautiful Blue Lake, whose mineral-rich waters take on an incredibly blue hue in the sunlight. At the end of your Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves day trip, be dropped off at selected Sydney hotels in the late afternoon. (hide)

Take a day trip from Sydney to Tobruk Sheep Station for a real Australian Outback experience. This is a day packed with unique ‘Aussie’ experiences. You’ll learn how to make traditional damper and billy tea over the campfire, watch stockmen on horseback mustering their sheep, take part in a sheep-shearing demonstration, and learn how to crack a whip and throw a boomerang. The day is completed with an authentic Aussie BBQ lunch.Leaving Sydney, you’ll travel over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and along the Great Northern Road, a stretch of road built by the convicts back in the early days of Australian settlement. En route to Tobruk Sheep Station, located only 70 minutes from the center of Sydney, you’ll view some of the most beautiful rural landscapes that Australia has to offer.
Tobruk Sheep Station is one of Sydney’s most stunning rural properties. On arrival at Tobruk, you’ll be greeted by Australian stockmen on horseback. Relax at the Drovers Camp and learn how to make traditional ‘stockman’s tucker’: billy tea and damper. Damper is bread made in the stockman’s fire; to make billy tea, the pot is swung around at arm’s length so the tea leaves settle on the bottom prior to drinking.
Enjoy your morning tea of freshly made damper with butter and golden syrup as you learn about the history of Tobruk and the life of a stockman.
Watch an amazing ‘Stockman’s Roundup’ demonstration. This is a rare opportunity to see the riding ability of the stockman in action, and to appreciate the understanding and partnership he has with his sheepdog. Herding in excess of 50 sheep, the stockman will drive the sheep from the open field into the small paddock area.
While watching Tobruk’s unique sheep-shearing demonstration, some of the audience will have the opportunity to join in and give it a try themselves. With the shearer to guide you, you will learn the history of sheep shearing and gain a better understanding of how wool is derived from the coat of a sheep.
For lunch, this Outback Experience offers a world-famous Aussie BBQ. With a vast range of different dishes to choose from, from succulent T-Bone steaks to spicy sausages, you’ll wish you left room after your damper and billy tea.
After lunch, try your hand at boomerang throwing and whip cracking.
As you return to Sydney, take in the views over the Hawkesbury River valley and the Blue Mountains. (hide)
